Review Imse Vimse Swim diaper and Tankini top

Anette from Imse Vimse sent me to try the Imse Vimse swim diaper and the matching tankini top  for our first dive in the sea.

More information about the features here.

And probably you will ask, what is the purpose of a swim diaper for an infant? A dive in nude as she was born and that's it! Apart from stylistic choice, these are necessary accessories as we will soon start baby swimming. For diving in the pool, there are two options, either a swim diaper, or a swim disposable diaper! As we do not like disposable baby products, we found this!
It's wonderful, practical, easy to put on and have a perfect fit!

Thank you Anette!!!

Review Organic Cloth Diapers Imse Vimse All in One

Anette from Imse Vimse, sent me a sample Imse Vimse All in One cloth diaper and I am happy with the results of our trial. More information about the features here

These diapers have very good quality stitching and are made from excellent materials, while their design proves to be very functional.
I am really impressed by the characteristics, because although it is a cloth diaper, it incorporates all the features that makes it as easy to use as disposable, but much more effective! Specifically, the external soft stretch fabric provides a comfortable fit while the openings in the legs (gussets) prevent leaks. What makes this truly remarkable, is the diaper design which include layers that offer the choice of micro fleece, or fabric from certified organic cotton for the layer in contact with skin. The results:
  • Absorbency very good
  • No irritation
  • No leaks
  • Excellent fit
  • Smart design for quick drying
This diaper is available in sizes, depending on the weight!
Thank you Anette!!!

Review Bumgenius Organic One size All in One - our diapers!

Well it is time todescribe and I my experiences, since I entered the field of cloth diapers!

I have chosen the Bumgenius Organic One size All in One after much reading on several forums! I wanted something easy, practical, durable, made from natural materials. Why these and not another model?
Because it is very simple to use as actually the only difference with a disposable on is that you don't have to open the garbage bin after use, but the pail to put diapers until you get them in the laundry machine.Because it  is made from organic cotton, natural material as opposed to others, especially the  pocket diapers, in which usually the inside fabric is made from polyester, fleece or suede cloth. Another advantage is the fact that when you wash organic cotton, it does not hold detergent, so it is easier to avoid the procedure known as stripping. This procedure is used when diapers acquire ammonia smell that remains even after washing and usually it is caused by detergent residue on the fabric and the liners of the diapers. Also,
I think that organic cotton will be cooler during the summer, compared with a synthetic fabric.
Also because it is a one size diaper, that fits the size of the child as it grows. This is important since the cost of purchasing is fairly limited, since you only need to buy a set of 18-24 nappies initially.Considered very durable but I still can not support it!

In the photos above the diaper internal and external, and ready for use with the biodegradable liner.
Actually the only drawback I can find so far is that long drying time, but this is until you find your washing schedule. Having 22 diapers, I put laundry 2 times a week and I get to use eco-diapers only for night time or when we are away from home!
Along with the diapers, I use biodegradable disposable liners, which help in the case of poo since the only thing you have to do is flash the liner in the toilet, without further special care for the diaper, and the liner also keeps moisture away from the skin.
